Noble Taminga 2002
Awards:
* 2004 Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show - Silver
This exciting variety was developed by the CSIRO at Merbein by
cross breeding 3 different varieties - Riesling, Farana & Traminer.
The Estate has been producing a Noble Taminga for over ten years
and the aim is to capture the exotic fruit flavours of this variety,
without too much over-riding botrytis character.
Winemaker's Notes: Unlike many Australian sweet white
styles the Noble Taminga is very much a "fruit driven"
wine without dominating botrytis characters or excessive sweetness.
The 2001 vintage, we believe, is one of the best Tamingas we have
made to date and shows excellent fruit and balanced sweetness.
The wine displays lifted citrus and apricot aromas with luscious
sweetness and a dry soft finish.
